Today is the day! Already in Germany we dreamed about travelling around with a campervan (stuffed like a christmas turkey), waking up in the morning with the sound of the murmuring ocean and falling to sleep at sunset with the sand in our hair and the salt on our skin.
Arriving in Melbourne we immediately realised that the city was really crowded. And so where the hostels. To escape from the Tennis-obcessed crowd and the hectic city life we rented a lovely campervan and headed straight out into the nature. What followed were 12 days watching the australian wildlife with rich green rainforest walks and a variety of isolated bays. We buckled our seatbelts and off we went.
Our first stop: Torquay - home of Ripcurl and Billabong, 4 finest surfspots and also the offical start of the 'Great Ocean Road'. Late in the afternoon we drove around to find a nice sleeping spot. Although it isn't allowed to sleep in your vehicle, every Aussie tells you with a wink that it is only illegal if you get caught... So we just looked for the most vacated street and found a nice meadow behind some trees where we shared our resting spot with some cuddly rabbits.
